Best Chicken Noodle
Noodles and chicken in a sweet, well seasoned and savory liquid is called a chicken noodle soup. It is said that this soup was originated in Asia particularly China, where it is served as breakfast or brunch. People around the world now enjoy chicken soup with noodles of difference shapes and sizes.
1 1/2 cups wide egg noodles
1 teaspoon vegetable oil or Margarine
8 cups chicken broth
1 tablespoons salt
½ teaspoon poultry seasoning
½cup chopped celery
½cup chopped onion
sprigs of fresh thyme
1/3 cup cornstarch
¼ cup water
½ lbs of boneless chicken breast
1. Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add egg noodles and oil, and boil for 8 minutes, or until tender. Drain.
2. In a large pot, combine broth, salt, and poultry seasoning. Bring to a boil. Stir in celery, thyme and onion. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 15 minutes.
3. In a cup or bowl, mix cornstarch and water together until cornstarch is completely dissolved. Gradually add to soup, stirring constantly. Stir in noodles and chicken, while still simmering.
