Delicious Chicken Alfredo Recipe

  • 6 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into small cubes
  • 6 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, cut into small cubes
  • 1 poultry seasoning
  • 1 pound pasta
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 8 ounce sliced mushrooms
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 3 cups milk
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated or shredded
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Preparation

  • 1. Combine 2 tablespoons of butter, 2 tablespoons garlic, and poultry season in a skillet with the chicken over medium heat. Brown the chicken. Remove contents from skillet and set aside.
  • 2. Cook the pasta for 10 minutes in a lightly salted pot with water. Ensure the water boils before adding the pasta. After it is boiled drain pasta from the pot.
  • 3. Saute mushroom, remaining garlic and onion in the skillet with melted butter. Add the flour while stirring pepper and salt; then cook for 2 minutes. Slowly add milk while stirring until smooth and creamy then stir in parmesan cheese until it melts. Include the chicken mixture, tomatoes and sour cream.
  • Serve with the cooked pasta


    Special Note: You can use 1 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese or even an Italian cheese blend instead of parmesan cheese.
